The San Diego Union Tribune reports on the work stoppage at a Bankers Hill midrise.
This is too bad in my view as more development on Bankers Hill is a positive. Regardless this is not overly surprising given the credit crunch on Wall Street.

Their Avalon project in PB is shut down too. The sales office on Garnet Ave is closed, no for sale signs on the premises. Just sitting there.
As I look at it, I think Mayfair Homes is TOAST.
Mayfair isn't trying to sell their condos in Avalon, and this project has shut down construction.
Is this the 1st local San Diego builder to go BK? Anyone got any more info?
This place should not be called "No Bankers to be seen condo project"
I think things will get worse around here before they get better.
Mayfair homes Avalon project is "not for sale". WOW, that is a huge project to just have sitting 2 blocks from the beach.
Here is the email I got from them:

Hi [anonymous]:
Thank you for your inquiry. We have stopped sales at the project and I
do not know if and when we will commence sales again.
